The Legend of Lavina Nightshade

The Legend of Lavinia Nighshade…

Lavinia Nightshade was the town dentist. Everyone loved her, especially the children. When a child had to have a tooth pulled Lavinia would let them choose a toy from her special toy chest as a reward for their bravery. Because of this the townsfolk nicknamed her the Tooth Fairy.

Lavinia had many suitors. One of them, Judge Endicott, was obsessed with Lavinia. He loved her to the point of madness. Unfortunately, for Lavinia, she did not feel the same way. At the annual Halloween dance the Judge asked Lavinia to marry him. Lavinia declined and told the Judge that she did not love him and could never marry him. This angered the Judge and drove him mad. He threatened Lavinia and told her that if he could not have her, no man ever would! She would be sorry that she had rebuked him!

The judge’s obsession overtook him and he devised an evil plan. He would frame Lavinia for the murder of two children. A week later the Smith twins disappeared. During the search for the children their bodies were eventually discovered in the cellar of Nightshade Manor. All of their teeth had been removed in a violent fashion.

At a town meeting the judge falsely accused Lavinia of killing the children. He claimed that he had discovered that she was a practitioner of “Dark Arts” and that she killed the children because she needed their teeth in order to perform a ritual which would enslave their spirits. As proof he produced a copy of a book that he claimed to be Lavinia’s diary. In the diary were details of Lavinia’s evil plan to kill the children and possess their souls.

A lynch mob led by the Judge burst into Nightshade Manor and dragged Lavinia out of bed and into the woods where they planned to hang her by the neck. When asked by the judge if she had any last words Lavinia cried “a curse on you and all of your descendants! What I did not take in life I will now take in death!

Seventy years have passed and reports of strange happenings at the Nightshade Estate are on the rise. Some of the children have reported seeing what they believe to be zombies and other night creatures roaming the woods and cemetery at night. Others have reported seeing the figure of a woman, with what appear to be large black wings, wandering the grounds of the Nightshade Estate. Could it be the Tooth Fairy? Has Lavinia returned to take her revenge? And if she has what has she brought with her?

Come explore the grounds of the Nightshade Estate and find out for yourself if the legend is true.

This is no fairy tale!
